As per the initial student reaction after JEE Main 23 Jan shift 2 exam:
- Overall the paper was moderate.
- Maths was moderate to hard and lengthy.
- Physics has been rated easy to moderate.
- Chemistry was easy to moderate.
- Topics in Maths came from - Vector and 3D, AP, Conic section, Parabola, Permutation and combination, complex numbers
- In Physics questions came from - Electrostatics, Current electricity, diode, galvanometer, ray optics, prism, fluid, pressure, kinematics, projectile, spring, heat, waves, photoelectric, error, rotation, moment of inertia, torque
- In Chemistry questions came from - Biomolecules, named reactions, PH
- NATs in chemistry were hard.
- In centres around 5 rough sheets are given and if asked, 2 extra rough sheets are given. The rough sheets are A4 size loose papers.

Yes, it is compulsory to attempt all the question in exam. Students need to attempt a total of 75 questions in the exam. Numerical value questions in JEE Main are the questions for which the answer will be a numerical value. In every subject, there will be 5 numerical value type questions and students need to attempt all 5 questions. In total, students will need to answer only 75 questions. For numerical value type questions, the answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer.

Q: What type of questions are asked in JEE Main?
The JEE Main question paper will have questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as per the prescribed syllabus. Each Subject will have two sections. Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In Section B, candidates have to attempt any 05 (five) questions out of 10. There will be negative marking for both Section A and Section B. As per the initial student reaction after JEE Main 23 Jan shift 1 exam:
- Frisking was very strict. A candidate at Kota Centre was asked to remove their t-shirt as there was metal in the button of their shirt.
- Overall the paper was moderate and a bit difficult than the paper held on day 1.
- Time distribution: Chemistry took at least 40 minutes to solve and Maths took 1.5 hours to solve.
- Maths was moderate to hard and lengthy.
- Physics has been rated easy to moderate.
- Chemistry was easy to moderate.
- Topics in Maths came from: Integration, Calculus, relation and functions, circles, differentiation, vector & 3d, conic section, parabola, tangent permutation and combination.
- In Physics questions came from modern physics, electrostatic, gravitation, semiconductors, ray optics, refractive index, lens, current electricity.

How to Calculate Score Using JEE Main 2025 Answer Key and Question Papers
To calculate scores using the JEE Main 2025 answer key available after the exam, candidates can use the steps below:
- Step 1: Download the JEE Main 2025 answer key with question paper solutions.
- Step 2: Now, analyse how many questions you have marked correctly and incorrectly in the exam. Since the JEE Main answer keys made available after the exam are memory-based, there can be some anomalies in it.
- Step 3: Once you have analysed the number of questions you have marked correctly and incorrectly, apply the JEE Main 2025 marking scheme to calculate the total score in the JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam.

The JEE Main result 2025 is scheduled for release by February 12, 2025. Candidates can access their session 1 results at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Yes you have a high chance of getting a seat in JEE Mains as the PWD students have lower cut off marks so 40-80 should be sufficient enough.
And PWD students get 5% seat reservations so the chances are high.
With this mark you may not get admission in top NIT but sure will get in lower level NIT.
