Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan admission process has been postponed amid the coronavirus outbreak in the country. The fresh dates will be released after COVID-19 lockdown is over.
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has announced that it has postponed the admission process for the academic session 2020-21, due to the ongoing lockdown imposed on the country by the government to avoid further spread of coronavirus.
In an official notification, the Sangathan has said that the fresh dates will be released after the lockdown. The students and parents have been asked to keep checking the official website of KVS i.e kvsangathan.org.in or kvsangathan.nic.in, for new schedule of the admission.
Earlier in an official notification that was released by the Sangathan on March 3, it said that the KVS admission process has been delayed as they are planning some essential modifications/changes in the admission guidelines. The admission process Class 1 and other classes will be conducted through an online central process.
Those who are seeking admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya need to register themselves on kvsonlineadmissions.in. Out of the total number of seats available for Class 1 admission, 15 percent seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste and 7.5 percent seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribe.
Guidelines for KV Admission 2020
Those who are seeking admission for class 1, should ensure that the child should be at least 5 years of age on March 31. The child born on April 1 should also be considered.
Documents required for Class 1 admission are a certificate of proof of age in the form of a birth certificate issued by the authority competent to register births, as per the admission process.
If in case seats are not filled in the school after June 30, the Deputy Commissioner of the region is allowed to conduct admissions up to the standard strength allowed in KV.
The admission process for KV generally ends on July 31. But this year with the delay in the admission process the delay in the same is expected.
