Delhi University (DU) on May 14, 2020, stated that the examinations for the final semester/term/year for all UG and PG students will be conducted from July 1, 2020, onwards.
Delhi University (DU) on May 14, 2020, stated that the examinations for the final semester/term/year for all UG and PG students will be conducted from July 1, 2020, onwards. DU published a notification regarding this decision on its official website i.e. du.ac.in. According to the notification, the examinations will be held for all students including students registered with the School of Open Learning (SOL) and Non-collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB). The University also stated that all the examinations will be conducted in three sessions in a day including Sundays, with a duration of two hours.
The University of Delhi will release a detailed date sheet of the examinations by the end of May. Also, separate guidelines for examinations of students of the first and second year (second and fourth semester) UG programmes and first-year (second semester) PG programmes. However, if the prevailing emergency situation due to the outbreak of the deadly virus COVID-19 deteriorates, the University will opt for other methods of conducting exams i.e. Open Book Examinations (OBE), for final semester/term/year UG and PG students to maintain social distancing and safety of students.
meanwhile, In view of the pandemic followed by multiple lockdowns in order to contain the virus, the varsity also extended the last date to fill online examination forms from May 15 to May 31, 2020. The notice published on the University's website reads, "In view of the prevailing situation with regard to threat of spread of COVID 19 and the subsequent lockdown, the last date for filling up of examination form is being extended till 31st May 2020. If any student faces any problem in filling up the form, he /she should contact the respective college/institution for resolution. In case the problem is not resolved by the college/institution, the student may send an email at examination.form@exam.du.ac.in"
