According to DU revised calendar, the new session for the students currently in first year will begin on August 31. The exams for first-year students will be held between August 12 and 24.

Delhi University Revised Academic Calendar: The University of Delhi (DU) on June 22, 2021, released its revised academic calendar. DU Revised Academic Calendar has details regarding the commencement of the new academic session as well as the conduct of exams for the students of the first year. According to the calendar, the new session for the students currently in first year will begin on August 31. The exams for first-year students will be held between August 12 and 24. Soon after the exams, DU will give a semester break of six days to the students.

The calendar also states that the students will be given a preparatory break from August 3 to August 11 during which practical examinations will be conducted.

Amid the devastating second wave of the ongoing pandemic situation, Delhi University's online classes for the students were suspended between May 4 and May 16. The decision was taken considering the mental health of the students and teachers in the midst of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.

BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri on June 22 met DU officials to discuss the opening of a college for students from rural areas in south Delhi. Talking about the meeting, the varsity tweeted, “Ramesh Bidhuri, Member of Parliament, visited DU to discuss progress on opening of a college for rural areas in south Delhi. He met the VC, DSC, estate officer, Dean Works and officers of the engineering department. He promised to help DU in facilitating progress in this endeavour.”

Meanwhile, the commencement of DU Admissions 2021 is in dilemma. With the cancellation of CBSE 12^th board Exams 2021 including the Class 12 exams of other state boards too, it is expected that the admission process will be delayed a little further. The University has stated that it will wait for the release of CBSE 12^th results along with the results of other state boards. A few reports suggest that admissions at Delhi University can be delayed until July 31.
