Emerging Economies University Ranking 2020: 11 Indian Universities among top 100

While the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) got the 16^th rank in the list, IIT Kharagpur got the 32^nd place, IIT Delhi moved up and made it to 38^th place, and IIT Madras climbing 12 places and got ranked at the 63^rd position.

Indian Universities’ astounding performance got a notable result. 11 out of 53 Indian universities made it to the list of top 100 universities in the recently released Times Higher Education (THE) Emerging Economies University Ranking 2020. The stellar performance of the Indian universities got The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru the 16^th spot in the ranking list. The only country that has more universities on the list of Emerging Economies University Ranking 2020 is China. With 30 universities among the top 100 universities list, China became the number one country to have the highest number of universities ranked on the list.

According to the information available on the official website of the Times Higher Education (THE), a total of 56 Indian Universities got featured in the ranking, released in London on February 18, 2020. Times Higher Education (THE) considered a total of 533 Universities from 47 countries. While the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) got the 16^th rank in the list, IIT Kharagpur got the 32^nd place, IIT Delhi moved up and made it to 38^th place, and IIT Madras climbing 12 places and got ranked at the 63^rd position.

Times Higher Education released the Emerging Economies Ranking 2020 by comparing the universities on the basis of various parameters, a few among them are full-time enrolled students, the number of students per staff, the total number of international students enrolled, the gender ratio in the university, and others.
