Growing Importance of Data-Driven Decision-Making in the Business World Made Me Choose ABBS, says Sukruth
Hello, I'm Sukruth Reddy S, currently pursuing my MBA in Business Analytics at Acharya Bangalore B-School. With a background in Commerce, I have a strong passion for learning and expanding my knowledge horizons. Outside of academia, one can find me on the shuttle court or in the gym, staying active and fit. Additionally, I have a keen interest in stock trading, always looking for opportunities to delve into the world of finance and investments. I'm excited to share my insights and experiences with you.
Q1. How did you choose your course of study in school (class XI-XII)? What made you choose an MBA in Business Analytics at Acharya Bangalore Business School (ABBS)?
My educational journey has been a deliberate and well-thought-out one, with each step carefully chosen to align with my interests and aspirations. When it came to selecting my course of study during my school years in classes XI and XII, I opted for a combination of Computer Science, Economics, Business Studies, and Accounting. The decision was influenced by my fascination with both technology and business. I saw Computer Science as a gateway to understanding the digital world and its endless possibilities. Simultaneously, subjects like Economics, Business Studies, and Accounting provided a solid foundation in the world of commerce and finance. This diverse combination allowed me to explore different facets of knowledge and helped me gain a well-rounded perspective.
After completing my schooling, I pursued a Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a specialization in Accounting and Finance. This decision was driven by my passion for numbers and a deep interest in financial management. I wanted to delve deeper into the intricate workings of financial systems, from analyzing financial statements to understanding investment strategies. My undergraduate studies not only provided me with valuable insights into the world of finance but also strengthened my analytical and critical thinking skills. For my postgraduate education, I chose to enroll at Acharya Bangalore B-School for an MBA in Business Analytics. This choice was influenced by the growing importance of data-driven decision-making in the business world. I recognized that the ability to harness data and extract meaningful insights is a valuable skill in today's competitive landscape. The MBA program with a focus on Business Analytics at Acharya Bangalore B-School presented the perfect opportunity for me to gain expertise in this field and merge my passion for technology and business.

Q2. How you crack admission in Acharya Bangalore Business School? What all entrance test(s) did you give? Any coaching classes that you took for preparation? Any other colleges that you were trying out for? What challenges did you face while opting for ABBS?
Securing admission to my current college, Acharya Bangalore B-School, for my MBA in Business Analytics, was a rewarding journey driven by dedication and determination. The primary entrance exam I appeared for was the PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test), a state-level examination conducted in Karnataka for MBA admissions. My rank in the PGCET exam was 547, which played a pivotal role in gaining admission to the MBA program at Acharya Bangalore B-School. I achieved this rank through rigorous self-study and a thorough understanding of the exam pattern and syllabus. I did not opt for any coaching classes for PGCET preparation, as I felt confident in my ability to prepare independently.
In addition to PGCET, I also appeared for other prominent MBA entrance exams such as CAT (Common Admission Test) and SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) to explore admission opportunities in renowned institutions like IIMs and Symbiosis Institute of Business Management. These exams demanded a rigorous preparation routine, but they served as backup options in case I didn't secure admission through PGCET. Fortunately, my PGCET rank was favorable, and I gained admission to Acharya Bangalore B-School. I didn't face significant challenges during the admission process due to my ranking. However, I maintained a contingency plan in case I needed to explore alternative colleges based on my performance in CAT and SNAP.
