Hyderabad University Revised Academic Calendar 2020: Entrance exams in August

The University of Hyderabad rescheduled the entrance examination to August for new admissions.

The University of Hyderabad rescheduled the entrance examination to August for new admissions. According to the latest notice published by the University, the entrance examination for admission to all its postgraduate and research programs will be conducted in the first week of August. The varsity also planned to begin the new academic session for students from September 1 onwards.

Hyderabad University released a revised calendar for the enrolled students along with the notice on its official website i.e. uohyd.ac.in. The University will conduct an entrance exam for new admission in 128 courses offering around 2,400 seats in the first week of August. Earlier, the examinations were supposed to be conducted from June 2 to June 6, 2020.

The revised academic calendar released by the University is given below:

Following the UGC guidelines 2020 and taking inputs from its internal committees, heads and deans, the University made the final semester for postgraduate students optional. The University also stated that PG students can write a special end-semester examination only if they are not satisfied with their grades computed on the basis of continuous assessment and past performance. 

This optional examination will be conducted from July 4 onwards. According to the revised calendar, HU will conduct the end semester examinations for PG students from August 3 onwards and commence the new classes on August 12, 2020. The PhD and MPhil students will also return to the University for research Work from June 15 to June 29.
