IIM Trichy is offering a two-year Post Graduate Progamme in Business Management (PGPBM) for working executives at the Chennai campus that is operating out of a rented facility.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Trichy is expected to take shape of its dream project of having a permanent campus in Chennai in the coming months with the institute keenly pursuing the option of establishing it.

While sharing his vision on the institute building a permanent campus in Chennai, Pawan Kumar Singh, the newly joined director, IIM Trichy, said that they are seeking land from the state government.

“We have not fixed any timeline to realise the city campus, but it is very important to have a satellite campus as executive education needs the support of metropolitan cities,” he said.

While giving examples of other states where governments have come forward to give land for the city campus of IIM in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and even in Kerala, he said they will pursue the state government for land in Chennai for the permanent campus.

He said despite this the institute is expecting the last phase of seed funding from the Ministry of Education for the critical infrastructure of the institute after which it will be on its own.

He further informed that 150 out of 490 students are at present on the campus, and the institute will maintain the 1/3rd strength to ensure the safety of all from COVID-19.
