IP University postponed the entrance exam date and last date to apply for IP University admissions 2020.
The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University popularly known as the IP University postponed the entrance exam date and last date to apply for IP University admissions 2020. This is the second time, the University extended the application date and postponed the entrance exam date due to the nationwide lockdown imposed in order to contain the novel coronavirus.
According to the official statement, the last date to apply for the IP University admissions 2020 is until May 25, 11:50 pm. Further, the form editing option will be available from May 26 to May 28. While the dates of the common entrance test (CET) is yet to be released. Students whose admissions will be on the basis of merit of class 12 level marks will also have to apply at the official website. Earlier, the IP University extended the application deadline until April 17.
The official notice released by the University states, “This is in continuation of Notice No. GGSIPU/Exam/CET/2020/02 dated 16-04-2020. Due to COVID-19 Lockdown situation, GGSIPU has further extended the last date of registration for Admission in Academic Session 2020 till 25th May 2020 for Common Entrance Test (CET) / Merit – Based / National Level Test Candidates. All the concerned are advised to kindly visit the University Website (www.ipu.ac.in) regularly for further updation.”
According to the reports, the IP University entrance exam for admission was supposed to be conducted from May 20 to May 30, however, after the postponement, no new dates have been announced.
Also, the new academic session in the University will begin from August 1, as suggested in the UGC guidelines. According to the official notification, those admitted to the varsity will have to show the final marksheet and degree papers by September 30.
