On Monday, the Jammu and Kashmir administration issued directives to the school education department to introduce assigned grievance redressal portals in the union territory.

On Monday, the Jammu and Kashmir administration issued directives to the school education department to introduce dedicated grievance redressal portals in the union territory. According to an official spokesperson, for early redressal of grievances of government teachers, Principal Secretary School Education Department Asgar Hassan Samoon directed unveiling of dedicated grievance redressal portals at the directorate-level. In a meeting through video conferencing, Mr Samoon passed these directions to the directors of school education of both the divisions of Jammu and Kashmir. He asserted that he wanted all grievances of teachers redressed in a time-bound manner. Now they can register their complaints anytime and they will get a response to their complaints in a time-bound manner.

In the meantime, the number of COVID-19 has crossed more than 700,000 across the globe. More than 50,000 people have lost their lives due to coronavirus across the globe. As far as India is concerned, in the last 10 days, the number of coronavirus cases has risen dramatically. Last week, in the Nizamuddin region of Delhi, a religious gathering took place, defying all the guidelines. Over 1,750 people had gathered for some religious activities. More than two dozen people were found to be COVID-19 patients. Almost 1,700 people have been quarantined so far. But the head of the gathering is yet to be nabbed.

Before this gathering, the situation was very much under control. But the covert congregation led to a sudden spike in the number of COVID-19 cases throughout the country.
