Kerala School Reopening: CBSE, ICSE schools in Kerala have decided to commence offline classes by November 1. According to media reports, School management association president Ibrahim Khan said that the state government guidelines are applicable to them as well. “The Government statement on reopening of schools is about school education. It is applicable to CBSE schools as well,” he said.

Meanwhile, Khan said that amid the ongoing pandemic situation, opening student’s commute through school bus will be tough as it is impossible to run for each shift. Like the state schools, CBSE schools may also opt for parallel online classes for those who cannot attend school offline.
Meanwhile, the Kerala state government on September 18 announced its decision to conduct Kerala Plus One examinations from September 24 to October 18. Amid the ongoing pandemic situation, General Education Minister V Sivankutty clearly stated that the exams will be held in the forenoon. Considering the health and safety of the students, the schools and students have received directions to strictly adhere to the COVID-19 health protocol. In an official press release, Sivankutty said, "The exams for Higher Secondary students will start on September 24 and will end on October 18. The Vocational higher secondary exams will however end on October 13. There will be a gap of one to five days between the exams.” According to the official announcement, the timetable for Kerala Class 11 exams is available on http://dhsekerala.gov.in.
