Being an introvert, college helped me come out of my comfort zone and catch on to new opportunities, says Preema
Science was something that always caught my attention. Choosing this stream felt like a safer option as Science is the only stream that gives you the freedom to enter into all the other streams after Class 11 and 12. So, I decided to take up Science after Class 10.
Simultaneously, I was preparing for entrance exams (NEET and CET). As the results came in, I started shortlisting the courses and colleges. My current programme B.Pharmacy included the subjects that intrigued me which is one of the major reasons for me choosing this field. This course of study is the one which I look forward to as my career. MET Institute of Pharmacy seemed like an ideal choice to pursue my graduation.
I appeared for NEET and CET in the year 2019. I joined a coaching class right before Class 11 to prepare for the same. At the time of admission besides a few other colleges were on my mind. There was a link given to us and we had to select colleges. As per the process, a list would be generated for informing whether we were selected for any colleges that we opted from. From the list, I secure my admission at MET Institute of Pharmacy. The admission process was very smooth and I did not face any difficulties as such.
Since traveling is a major concern, I cannot spend much time in college. If time permits, we usually go to the library to get our study material. Sometimes we go and play carrom in the recreation area. Recently, we explored the Music Room and the experience was quite calming. I was a part of the student council during my Second Year.
Before the pandemic took place, I participated in various activities including Lumiere which is an annual fest organised by the pharmacy Institute and MET Utsav which is the annual fest of our college in which all MET Institute participate together. These events have given me the best memories of my college life until now. Being an introvert, College helped me come out of my comfort zone and catch on to new opportunities to help me gain experience and as a whole, it has been my stepping stone to enter the real world. College made me explore various things and gave rise to my curiosity which helped me develop my skills and knowledge. I learned a lot about myself as well and am looking forward to the remaining time I have left in this college. It will surely make me learn new life lessons and help me grow as an individual.
I have yet to decide about my plans after graduation. Surely would look forward to get mentored for futuristic path from MET Alumni & faculties.
