A. A: 

The NEET 2023 counselling process was concluded by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on November 15, with the institute reporting process for the Special Stray Vacancy round. The result for this round was declared on November 10. As many as 156 candidates were allotted MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing seats.  

This is the last and final round of counselling and those who were allotted seats in either the national or any of the state counsellings, were not eligible to participate in this round. The registration and choice filling rounds were conducted from October 31 and November 1 till November 7. 

Earlier, MCC conducted an additional round of NEET 2023 counselling for BDS and BSc Nursing courses. In the Round 5, there were 455 BDS and BSc Nursing seats. The result for this round was declared on October 18 and 360 candidates were allotted seats. 

There were a total of 258 seats in the Round 6. The choice filling and locking rounds were conducted from October 25 to October 26. However, the result was scheduled to be declared on October 28, but the round was cancelled. Instead, MCC announced the Special Stray Vacancy round. 

In the fourth or the stray vacancy round of NEET 2023 counseling, there were a total of 2,454 MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing seats available for allotment. As many as 2,140 candidates were allotted seats in the last and final round. The result for this round was declared on September 27, after a day's delay. The institute reporting process was conducted from 

The seat allotment result for NEET 2023 counselling Round 3 was released on September 7. As many as 4,805 candidates have been freshly allotted seats. On the other hand, 2,198 candidates’ seats have been upgraded in Round 3 of NEET counselling 2023. As many as 200 MBBS seats were added in Round 3 of NEET 2023 counselling. According to the virtual vacancy and clear vacancy, there are 8,650 and 5,811 vacant seats respectively for this round.

In the Round 1 of NEET 2023 counselling, BSc Nursing seat allotment was not done since the participating institutes offering this course did not share the seat matrix with MCC. But from Round 2 onwards, the seat matrix included all three courses. Prior to registrations, candidates must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria. They must also note that the seats are allotted provisionally and the final admission will be granted only after the document verification is completed and admission fee is paid. MCC also gave candidates an option to resign previous round's allotted seat and convert their nationality from Indian to NRI.

On the other hand, State Authorities or the Education Department of various states conduct NEET state counselling for the 85 per cent state quota seats.
