NIT Jamshedpur Placements 2021: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur placement drive 2021 is receiving an overwhelming response from the recruiters. Over 500 students participated in NIT Jamshedpur Placement Drive 2021 out of which around 400 students bagged pleasing placement offers from various companies that have so far participated in the ongoing placement process at the tech cradle. According to the data released by the NIT placement cell the institute has so far achieved an overall 81 per cent placement.
Approximately 80 companies have so far participated in the placement process recruiting students from various streams of engineering. Another 50 companies are expected to turn up for recruiting students until July this year which is the end of the placement season.
Considering the ongoing pandemic situation, NIT Jamshedpur commenced the placement drive via virtual mode. The online recruitment process for the current batch which began in July 2020 gained momentum in October. The companies participating in the placement process are head hunting students through the virtual process happening for the first time due to the pandemic situation.
NIT Jamshedpur Placements 2021: Key Highlights
- 95 per cent placement recorded for computer science engineering stream
- 92 per cent placement record for the electronics and communication engineering stream
- Both electrical and mechanical engineering streams achieved 75 per cent placements each so far
- The metallurgical and materials engineering stream too achieved 75 per cent placements so far
- The civil engineering stream recorded 60 per cent placements
- Meanwhile, the production and industrial engineering stream achieved 77 per cent placements
- The highest package offered so far is Rs 30 lakh per annum by Amazon
- The average package offered so far is Rs 12 lakh per annum
- The average package offered in the computer science engineering branch is Rs 18 lakh per annum
Talking about the encouraging scenario, Professor-in-charge of the training and placement cell, Prahlad Prasad said, “The placement scenario looks encouraging so far. The placement target for the current batch may be as good as previous years or even more.”
Companies such as Amazon, Deloitte, Tata Power, Axis Bank, Vedanta, Bajaj Auto, Nokia, Comviva, TCS Innovator, Paytm, Genpact, Goldman Sachs, Lowe's India, One Plus, Cargil, Tekion, Tata Steel, Mentor Graphics, Publicis Sapient, Info Edge, Samsung (R&D), Bajaj, DMI Finance, Axeela, ZS Associates, Amdocs and Capgemini participated in NIT Jamshedpur Placements 2021.
