Patna University Admission 2021: Patna University (PU) has decided to commence the admission process for the new academic session from July 2. The decision has come as a major relief to students waiting for college admissions. Students interested in Patna University Admission 2021 must note that PU's vice-chancellor Girish Kumar Chaudhary on June 29 announced that online admission forms for various courses would be available on the official website www.patnauniversity.ac.in. The last date for filling and submit the online admission form for PU admissions is July 17. Professor Anil Kumar, dean of students' welfare, said, "Interested applicants can fill online admission forms through the online portal. We are yet to decide the mode of selection as we are waiting for Raj Bhawan's direction in this light. However, we are hopeful to commence academic session on time which begins in the first week of August."
While giving clarification regarding the conduct of exams, Professor Anil Kumar also said that pending exams of undergraduate and postgraduate courses will be conducted soon to clear backlogs and bring the academic calendar on track. More than 11 lakh students cleared BSEB Class 12 examination 2021 conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board this year. UG, PG admissions across the country are delayed due to the ongoing pandemic situation. Considering the situation many education boards have already cancelled the Class 12 exams. State boards including CBSE 12th students are being evaluated via different methods sans exams. Earlier, Talking about the admission of students to Patna University without entrance exam amid the ongoing pandemic situation, PU vice-chancellor Girish Kumar Chaudhary said, “For the last several years, PU colleges had been admitting students to all the undergraduate courses on the basis of centralised faculty-wise entrance tests as per the admission ordinance. But, owing to the Covid pandemic, it would not be feasible to conduct the entrance tests this time. Hence, a necessary amendment would have to be made in the ordinance for doing away with the entrance tests for a year through some transitory regulation.”
