Pondicherry School Reopening: The education minister of Puducherry A Namassivayam on November 7, 2021, announced that their decision to reopen schools, both government and privately managed, has been put off for now. The decision has been taken in view of incessant rains in the Union Territory. The minister through an official release said that after holding discussions with the officials of the Department of Education that the incessant rains are the immediate reason to put off the date of reopening of schools for Classes 1 to 8. Fresh dates to reopen schools for these classes will be announced soon by the government after analyzing the situation.
Namassivayam said holiday has been declared for Classes 9 to 12 on November 8 and 9.
