The education minister further added that the committee has also been entrusted with giving suggestions on the timely announcement of the upcoming academic session.
Rajasthan Minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati on May 27, 2021, announced that they have formed an official committee to look and explore the ways of conducting the state university examinations for the 2021-22 academic session amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation and restrictions imposed in order to contain the virus spread. The education minister further added that the committee has also been entrusted with giving suggestions on the timely announcement of the upcoming academic session. He stated that the convener and members of the committee will be consulting each other and submitting a report to the state government within a period of 15 days.
Rajasthan state universities announced the postponement of the semester examinations due to the devastating second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and the upcoming academic session is also likely to be affected due to the exams not being conducted on time. However, the government is yet to take a decision on the state board class 12 exams, i.e. RBSE 12th Board Exams 2021. Rajasthan State Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan has yet to make a decision regarding the class 12 examinations and unlike the other states, the Board has still not taken any decision on the conduction or cancellation of RBSE 10th Board Exams 2021.
After the meeting conducted by the Centre on the class 12 examinations, many of the states and union territories have supported the proposal of the CBSE to conduct the class 12 board examinations with a few states including Delhi, Goa, Maharashtra, and Andaman and Nicobar opposing the examinations.
