Witnessing a decline in the numbers of the COVID-19 cases, the Rajasthan government has decided to reopen schools, colleges and educational institutions from September 1. Educational institutes across the state were closed due to the restrictions and lockdown imposed in the area in view of the devastating second wave of the global pandemic. Students willing to attend offline classes must note that parental consent is a must. Schools have been directed not to force students to attend offline classes. However, the online classes will continue for students who do not wish to attend the regular classes.
Other guidelines issued by the department include restrictions on morning assembly for the time being to maintain social distancing and other covid19 protocols. Students will only be allowed after a proper screening for COVID-19. According to the SoPs issued, the schools have been directed to reopen at a 50 percent capacity. Vaccination with at least the first dose before school reopening is mandatory for all the staff members and teachers. Schools have also received directions to follow COVID-19 necessary protocols which include sanitation, compulsory masks, disinfection, etc.
