It helps learners develop expertise in field and effectively teach nursery students. Candidates who have passed their Class XII examination in any stream from a recognized board or its equivalent with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/BC) are eligible to apply.

Admission to the above NTT courses is based either on merit (marks obtained in the board examination) or is based on merit cum entrance exam conducted by the respective institutes/colleges. Some colleges/institutes also conduct personal interviews as a part of the admission process.
