“Whatever the human law may be, neither an individual nor a nation can commit the least act of injustice against the obscurest individual without having to pay the penalty for it.” - Thoreau
The legal profession commands a great deal of respect in our society due to the criticality of issues it handles. Lawyers and judges are responsible for upholding the law of the land and bringing justice to those who are wronged. In the 21st century, legal think tanks have realised that law can’t be a standalone discipline and will provide great rewards if you combine it with other courses. This thought gave birth to the BBA LLB programme, which is a unique interdisciplinary course. ISBR Business School (International School of Business & Research) has gained immense popularity because of this niche course in the past few years.
BBA LLB helps you gain deep knowledge of law & governance along with accounts, commerce, business and management. You will become a pro at various domains such as legal policies, legal framework, corporate laws in banking, insurance, investment, acquisition & mergers, business functions, management functions and many more diverse topics. In a nutshell, BBA LLB provides you with the best interdisciplinary exposure to learning law suitable to the market demands of the present era.
What is the BBA LLB programme all about?
BBA LLB (Bachelor in Business Administration and Legislative Law Honors) is an integrated five-year undergraduate course pursued by people who want to specialise in law and business. This course incorporates the demands of the corporate world with the world of law. This unique course is spread over ten semesters, during which you will be taught various courses linking the study of business, management and law.
The course is very informative and a good deal for those who want to pursue both BBA as well as LLB because if you do them independently without opting for an integrated course, you will complete your studies in six years as opposed to five years in case of an integrated degree.
If you would study BBA and LLB separately without signing up for this integrated course, then you would have to invest an extra year; the course duration would be of 6 years in that case.
What will you learn?
This modern programme provides you with a learning environment that fosters the managerial and entrepreneurial skills of the student. It will widen your thinking in various domains – management, business, corporate social responsibility, global impact, and many more.
This course will enable you to think actively by developing lateral thinking, critical & analytical mindset, and intellectual autonomy. You will become a great leader with polished problem solving, decision making, public speaking and communication skills. It will train you to conquer the competitive globalised world we are living in today.
The scope
The scope of BBA LLB is pretty vast and isn’t limited to establishing yourself as an advocate or a mere practitioner. You can work with big corporates and MNCs in their legal wings and be an essential part of all the contracts and agreements of the company you join.
The scope of this unique course is ever-expanding, and you are advised to keep yourself updated with the industry’s current trends by signing up for short-term distance mode certification courses. For a focused and hardworking individual, this course holds a promising and rewarding career.
In fact, you will be a recession-proof individual as you will be a master of two domains – the law sector, business & management sector. It’s a win-win situation for you. You will be a great hit everywhere as you will have the skills and knowledge of management and law. You will be a valued and precious employee for any organisation you join.
Also, you can choose to steer your career in any of the two domains if you feel the other one is not your forte per se. By the time you finish this course, you will become a pro at interpersonal skills, handle an environment, and demonstrate ethical leadership, which will make you an excellent manager and a team player.
Job market
You will have many employment opportunities across planning, administration, management, banking, law, advocacy, judiciary and industrial sector. You will be a catch for the employers as you will not only solve their legal issues and monetise every opportunity that comes their way.
You can join an MNC such as Apple, Microsoft, Google, etc., as their in-house counsel. Or you could work as a paralegal assistant on law assignments at various firms. You could also work as a Human Resource Manager or a Business Development Manager or a Finance Manager or a Management Accountant.
If media is your love, you could become a law reporter at one of the leading media houses. You could also work as a legal probationary officer with any of the Indian banks. You could practice as an advocate or an associate at law firms like Luthra & Luthra, Trilegal and Khaitan.
If teaching is your passion, you can become a professor at a university. You could also prepare for Chartered Accountancy, Company Secretary or Civil Services Examination if you want. So, you see, the possibilities are endless. In conclusion, you must do this course to have a secure recession-proof and valuable career to live the life of your dreams!
