I am Chandaluri Vasu Manoj, a native of Andhra Pradesh, currently pursuing my MBA at ABBS. I completed my undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management (B.Sc.HM) as a gold medalist. I have gained diverse experience through various internships in different domains, including HR intern at Career Tome Company and on-the-job trainee at Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad.
Q1. How did you choose your course of study in school (class XI-XII)? What made you choose an MBA at Acharya Bangalore Business School (ABBS)?
In school, during class XI and XII, I had to make a crucial decision regarding which stream to choose - science, commerce, or humanities. My choice was heavily influenced by my interests and career aspirations. I had a deep-seated passion for mathematics and science, which led me to select the science stream. I was particularly drawn to problem-solving and analytical thinking, making subjects like physics and mathematics especially appealing. When it came to choosing my postgraduate studies, I considered a range of factors. I wanted to specialize in a field that aligned with my undergraduate studies and career aspirations. Additionally, I took into account the location of the university, financial considerations, and the potential for research and networking opportunities. After careful deliberation, I decided on my current college and course, which offered a specialized program in my area of interest and provided access to renowned faculty and research facilities.

Yes, MBA is available at ABBS under School of Management. This course is offered in affiliation with Bangalore University for a duration of two years. Apart from the regular MBA course, various value-added programmes and certification courses are also provided by the institute for the better learning of candidates. Admission to MBA at ABBS is done through various national-level entrance exams. Aspirants can qualify MAT/CMAT/XAT/CAT for admission. The final selection is based on the candidate's performance in ABBSSAT, national-level entrance exam and personal interview round.

Like everyone else, I had an ambition to attend a reputable business school in India. During my research on Google and through word of mouth, I learned about Acharya Bangalore B-School, which is a well-known college. As required by the college, I had an interview. I took the MAT Entrance Exam, and I'm happy to say that ABBS College is a proudly green campus that has taken many initiatives towards society and hosts numerous events like the Management Fest, Workshops on Attitude Building, Networking Sessions with Experts in their Field of Study, Pre-Placement Trainings, and Several Club Activities Related to Respective Specializations.
Q3. How do you spend your time at college? Which classes do you like to attend? Which extra-curricular activities are you a part of in college? If given a chance, what else would you want to do? How has your college experience changed you as a person? What opportunities do you see in the future?
As a third-year BCom student at BMS College of Commerce and Management, I have found myself particularly drawn to subjects like strategic management, marketing, and entrepreneurship. These classes have provided me with valuable insights into business strategies, consumer behavior, and the dynamics of startups. The practical applicability of these subjects to real-world business scenarios has made learning engaging and fulfilling. Outside of the classroom, I have actively participated in various extracurricular activities. I joined the college's entrepreneurship club, where I have had the opportunity to collaborate with fellow students on business ideas and projects. This experience has not only enhanced my teamwork and leadership skills but has also allowed me to apply the theoretical knowledge gained in class to real entrepreneurial ventures. Furthermore, I have been part of the college's organizing committee for management fests and conferences. These roles have honed my event management and organizational skills, and they have given me a chance to network with industry professionals and thought leaders. Overall, my time at BMS College of Commerce and Management has been an incredible journey of growth and self-discovery. I am confident that the skills and knowledge I have gained here will serve me well in my future endeavors.

ABBS offers three-year courses of BCom (General) and BCom (Supply Chain & Logistics). These courses are offered in affiliation with Bangalore University. The curriculum of this course is very diversified which particularly focuses on students' skill enhancement. It contains following components:

ABBS is good place to study management courses, because they teach the subjects with a practical approach as per the industrial requirements, making it easier for the students to secure placements. They conduct a lot of workshops & guest lectures by IIM professors & other people from the industry on various topics. ABBS Management allows organizing events in college frequently to make it fun and this helps to gain experience in organizing events which indirectly helps in taking responsibility.
Q4. What do you plan in future?
My aspirations include becoming a responsible citizen who can inspire others and make my parents proud of me.
