Punjab University is a public research university which is located in Chandigarh. Punjab University offers more than 850 courses. There are 78 different affiliated colleges of the Punjab University which offer UG, PG and PhD level courses. Punjab University has a placement rate of about 82% and the placement is quite good various students receive the placement from the college itself. Every year more than 324 companies visit the University for placement opportunities. There are many recruiting companies for the placement that visit the University of Punjab every year such as Amazon, Tesla, Adobe etc.

The placement cell of the university selects the students eligible for seeking placement from the university and the placement cell guides the students and gives training to students. Due to all such support provided by the placement cell students can receive good placement packages from the placement companies. There are more than 324 recruiting companies to give placement and there are around 383 placement offers which are made to the students of BTECH by the companies every year around 80% of students secure their seats in placement opportunities and receive placements from the college itself.  The placement record when compared to last year has increased almost every year and 16% of placement records increased from last year. Due to this a growth of 47% in the university is seen this year.
