UP Government released new academic calendar for the session 2020-21 for all the higher education institutions i.e. universities and colleges of the state. According to the new academic calendar released by the government, all universities and colleges in UP will resume their classes from July 6, 2020, onwards. The state also asked universities and colleges to complete the fresh admission process by August 14, 2020, and begin the academic session for new students from August 17, 2020.
New Academic Calendar for Uttar Pradesh Universities and Colleges
According to the new academic calendar released by the government, classes for existing students i.e. the students of the second, third, fourth and fifth-semester will commence from July 6. On similar lines, the admission process for new students will start on August 14 with classes resuming on August 17, 2020.

Meanwhile, in the revised academic calendar, the Principal Secretary (higher education), Monika S Garg, also directed the Universities and Colleges to cut winter holidays and other off days to increase the total number of teaching days. This will also help the faculty to complete the pending syllabus. Also, the universities based in green zone districts are asked to begin the evaluation of answer sheets for already conducted exams immediately. The exams that were conducted in the Universities situated in orange and red zones are asked to transport the answer sheets to the green zone and complete the evaluation after due discussion with the district officer.
