Q: What is the difference between the teaching methodology in your institute and others?
A: In our institution, we just don’t follow the syllabus. We do a lot of extra projects with the students which helps them build confidence. We try to make the theoretical topics also interesting by adding some kind of practical work related to the subject. Our motive is to keep the interest of our students alive.
Q: How are you preparing your students to be Industry ready?
A: From the industry point of view, we give the students few projects which they have to handle independently and we also give them soft skills training so that once they are in the industry, they not only have adequate knowledge but also know how to present their ideas in the best possible way. As presentation is also equally important nowadays.
Q: What quality do your students have which other college students lack?
A: I feel one major quality which our students have is when they step into the industry, they are already full of confidence, they are not shaky as freshers-reason being; we encourage our students to start working independently while they are still doing their course. Either they are freelancing or running a small business of their own. So, our students are not freshers which is a very big plus point INSDian have over others.
Q: Do you think the curriculum of the courses taught in your institute fits in the requirement of the industry?
A: Our curriculum of the course definitely fits the requirements of the designing industry because not only we have all the latest technologies included in our syllabus but from time to time we keep on updating/ upgrading our syllabus according to the industry requirements.
Q: Is your college receptive to innovation, technology, science & entrepreneurship?
A: Yes, we at INSD KOLKATA are always open to innovation, technology, science and entrepreneurship.
