Dr Daisy Alexander, Professor and Head of the Department of Manipal Law School (MLS), MAHE Off Campus Centre, Bengalurum discusses the school's teaching methods in-depth in an interview with Shiksha.com. She speaks extensively about importance of interdisciplinary teaching in law, Equipping students with ICT deployment responsibilities and Internships & placements with respective industry and service sector among others.
Dr Daisy has an academic experience of over two decades. She started her career as a part time Lecturer from 1991 to 1996 while practicing law at High Court and City, Civil and Sessions Court Bombay. She then served as a course coordinator and research associate for NOVIB project from 1996 to 1997 at NLSIU Bangalore

Q: What are the salient features of the teaching methodology adopted by your college? How does this differ from others?
A: Teaching methodology depends on the subject to be taught and the nature of the learner. The focus is on learners and the ability to grasp.
Q: Is Manipal Law School Bangalore good for Law?
Manipal Law School Bangalore is a constituent unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), (Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. MLS Bangalore offers various courses to the students at UG and PG levels. It has decent national and international faculty members who are from Kings College London, Sydney Law School, NLUs (Bengaluru, Hyderabad, etc.) and JNU. Manipal Law School Campus has digitalised classrooms to impart the comprehrensive education. Further, the college even facilitates the students with guest lectures and industry exposure by scheduling regular sessions with High court and Supreme court judges, top advocates, etc.
