With the generations of data, the need for managing the data is also increasing

I always dreamt of myself in a managerial position in some multinational company making big decision to help the organization succeed. But I also had some fascination towards technical skills like problem solving, writing algorithms, and learning new tools. So, for that first I chose my bachelor's degree from engineering background and pursued my BE. in Electrical Engineering, which gave me a lot of exposure to tools and technologies and increased my learning acumen. But still my passion for the management field was there with me in my heart so I started to find out some good options to pursue my management degree.

I found that the most opted field for post-graduation is management studies, it is in fact, fascinates the students from every stream like, commerce, engineering, humanities, etc. According to me, the main reason is that people get a wider prospect after post-graduation in management for their Career opportunities. As per my opinion, this is because majority of the management programs offer a wide range of specializations which a student can chose according to his/her interest. Also, these specializations are evolving every day to cater the need of the industry, Due to which the specializations which were available years ago might not feel relevant today. This makes the choice of specialization a bit difficult for me.

I came across the field of data science during my bachelor’s only and that subject fascinates me a lot. Data science is one of the new age specializations which has been is now being offered by every single institute. Not only in management but even engineering and science institutes are also offering data science as their specialization subject.

I started to search for such programs which can provide me both data analytical skills and managerial skills. And luckily, I came to know about this PGDM program in Big Data Analytics offered by Adani Institute of Digital Technology Management. Of course, who in our country don’t know about the Adani group, the name itself is an assurance of quality. The program curriculum was such detailed and with equal focus on management and technical skills that I finally chose to enroll in that program.

My thoughts on Data Science & Data analysis based on my initial research:

According to my search, Data science is one of the new age specializations which has been is now being offered by every single institute. Not only in management but even engineering and science institutes are also offering data science as their specialization subject.

As much as I know about Data Science and data analysis, this field will help me to work with large data sets and to discover or find meaningful insights. It enables me to perform data preparation, model building, performance evaluation and model – deployment. I will learn about machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques and algorithms. In this specialization which will help me to support the increased automation demands of the industries. A proper introduction of python, R, SQL, and visualization tools is provided in such courses along with the basics of statistics. That is what is I enjoyed a lot at AIDTM.

I have heard the experts are saying, as the generation of data increased in the current time so accordingly the need of managing the data is also increased. The data today generated by the devices is not simple enough or must be said not structured to be managed by simple tools and algorithms so to handle such unstructured data do require specialized tools and techniques, and a data science professional helps in that situation. This is the era of digital tools that helps to manage Big Data. This is reasonable reason for me to join a program that offers me Learnings on Data science and Big Data Analysis.
