DU JAT 2020, the entrance exam for undergraduate management programmes of Delhi University is conducted by NTA on September 7. Know the details of the test along with the safety measures applied.

DU JAT 2020 Conducted on September 7

Delhi University Joint Admission Test (DU JAT) 2020 for the academic year 2020-23 is being conducted today, i.e. September 7. The computer-based test (CBT) is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in two slots. The two-hour duration test is scheduled from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm and 5 pm to 7 pm. The exam is being conducted in 20 cities across India by maintaining strict COVID-19 safety guidelines. DU JAT 2020 is the gateway to the admission to the undergraduate management programmes offered by the University of Delhi. The programmes are Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), Bachelor of Business Administration – Financial Investment Analysis (BBA FIA) and BA (Hons.) in Business Economics. According to the DU JAT exam pattern, each question carries four marks and one mark is deducted for each wrong answer. There is no negative marking scheme for un-attempted questions.

COVID-19 Safety Measures to Followed at DU JAT Test Centres

On the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the following safety measures are followed at the exam centres of DU JAT 2020.

  • Candidates have to carry their personal sanitisers at the exam centres along with the other permitted documents and items such as DU JAT admit card, photo identity card, self-declaration form, transparent water bottle and pen

  • Candidates will be provided with triple-layered masks at the time of entry to the test centre

  • While entering, candidates will have to maintain a distance of at least six feet from another candidate to comply with the social distancing norms. Ropes and floor marks will be there to ensure this

  • Hand sanitisers will be provided across the centre

  • Candidates’ temperature will be measured with infrared thermometers at the entry point

  • After the entry, the DU JAT admit cards will be scanned

  • Candidates’ will be frisked with a handheld metal detector, without establishing physical contact with the candidates

  • The exam hall and the system, including the floors, railings, seating areas, computer monitor, mouse, keyboard, web camera, etc. will be thoroughly sanitised

  • A gap of two seats will be maintained between two test-takers inside the exam hall

  • Candidates will have to submit their rough sheets

  • During the test, candidates will have to sanitise their hands before collecting the rough sheets and signing on the attendance form

  • Before leaving the exam hall, candidates will have to submit their admit cards and rough sheets in the designated drop boxes

  • Social distancing norms will be maintained at the time of the exit as well

It is expected that the DU JAT 2020 answer key will be released by the last week of September. Candidates will be able to raise challenges against the official answer keys after which the final answer keys and result will be declared. It is estimated that the DU JAT 2020 result will be announced by the first week of October.
