Scope of BBA programme in India:

A large number of students in India pursue BBA. After completing BBA, generally, students opt for an MBA, while many get into the field of various job avenues, such as in the field of banking, urban infrastructure & real estate management, business consultancies, advertising, manufacturing, and government sector, etc.

Some major jobs opportunities one can opt for, after completing BBA are as follows:

  • Human Resources Executive: A Human Resource Executive (HR executive) ensures the strategies, methodologies, and programs administered to keep the goals of individuals consistent with those of the organisation. Overseeing human asset activities like recruitment, selection, training and development, and wage and salary administration, performance appraisal and management are the key responsibilities of an HR manager.
  • Marketing Executive: A marketing executive is responsible for official statements and promotion of the organisational product, conduct, and analyse competitive research, and establish objectives, expecting results for marketing programmes.
  • Marketing Manager: A Marketing Manager collaborates with product managers and aims at executing new/modified programmes for the improved strategies to take the organizations upwards. Developing market research studies & analysing their findings, making the best use of marketing programmes & campaigns for the organization’s products and services are some of the prime responsibilities of a Marketing Manager.
  • Sales Executive: The Sales Executive designs and implements strategies to increase company sales and expand the company’s base in the market.
  • Research and Development (R&D) Executive: A R&D executive directs and manages the development & research programmes of an organisation in order to meet the needs of the organisation.  To measure the scope of a research project, and to make sure that they are delivered in time and within the stipulated budget is the role of an R&D executive.
  • Finance Specialist: Various job profiles are there for graduates with a specialisation in finance. From investment banking to taxation, tax planning, hedge fund management, asset finance, to international finance, there are various job profiles in which a graduate student can find career opportunities.

While there are many jobs for a BBA graduate, one can look towards higher studies and gain more experience in the academic field, broadening the horizon of opportunities. Here are some best Courses after BBA:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA): It is the most popular choice for a BBA graduate. Despite high costs, the MBA remains a popular choice because of the excellent returns it offers. It is the pathway to some of the most well-paying jobs available in the private sector. 
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM): The course curriculum of PGDM is similar to the MBA degree and it is updated more quickly than MBA courses. It also provides a greater variety and a larger number of specialisations.
  • Bachelor of Law (LLB): Having a degree in law along with management skills can favour the students to opt from a wide range of career options.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA):
    A yet another option for the students to explore a career in the field of financial management and analysis. It is a course that can be taken up along with MBA studies.
