BSEB Results 2020: After the allotment of grace marks, 72610 more BSEB 12th candidates, i.e. 54.81% passed in intermediate examinations, while 141677 more BSEB 10th candidates, i.e. 68.07% passed in matriculation exams.

Bihar Board of School Education (BSEB) declared BSEB 12th Results 2020 and BSEB 10th Results 2020 in the month of March and May, respectively. Now BSEB decided to pass 214287 more candidates out of the total 340633, who failed in one or two subjects this year by awarding them with grace marks. A new list is now uploaded on the board website, i.e. biharboardonline.bhar.gov.in. The move is taken to avoid the conduction of the BSEB compartment exams amid the ongoing pandemic situation. The Bihar Board was the first one to publish the results this year. BSEB Intermediate results were released on March 24 while the BSEB matric Results were released on May 26, 2020.

The Board took almost two months to declare BSEB Matric Results after the declaration of the 12th results. The Board stated that the declaration of 10th board results got delayed due to the COVID-19 lockdown imposed in order to contain the virus.

Bihar Board Result 2020: About Grace Marks

The Board's move to avoid compartment exams during a pandemic deserves appreciation considering the number of increasing COVID-19 cases in the country. Bihar alone recorded approximately 70,000 cases. However, it is not clear as to how much grace marks will be allotted to students to declare them passed. Board Secretary Anand Kishore said, “Waiting for the situation to get normal and then hold compartment examination would have delayed the results to November-December, which would have not benefited any student in the present academic session. It is a decision taken entirely in students’ interests. Some other boards also did the same to avoid the risk of taking the examination in the midst of a pandemic.”

After awarding of grace marks to students, 72610 more BSEB 12thcandidates that is 54.81% passed in intermediate examinations, while 141677 more BSEB 10th candidates that is 68.07% passed in matriculation exams of Bihar.
