CBSE 10th 12th Compartment Exams 2020: The Central Board of Secondary Education, or CBSE, commenced the application process for the compartmental exams of Classes 10 and 12. The Board declared the CBSE 12th Results 2020 on July 13 and CBSE 10th Results 2020 on July 15. Students who failed in one or more subjects and whose results are declared as ‘Compartment’ in CBSE Class 10 and CBSE Class 12 exams can apply online for the compartment exams. Students must note that the last date to apply online for the CBSE compartment exams is until August 20 up to 5 pm. The exams for CBSE compartment paper 2020 are scheduled to be conducted in September 2020.
How to apply for CBSE 10th, 12th Compartment Exam?
CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th Candidates falling in the compartmental category need to approach their respective schools to apply for the CBSE 10th, 12th Compartment Exam 2020. However, private candidates can apply directly through the official website of the Board, i.e. cbse.nic.in. According the official notice, “Schools shall have to submit LOC for Compartment Examination in respect of regular students, both for Class XII and Class X through e-Pariksha link- http://cbse.nic.in/newsite/reg2020.html w.e.f 13.08.2020. Only those Candidates whose name is submitted through the online process shall be allowed to appear for the examinations proposed to be conducted in September 2020.”
The official notice further states that the candidates falling in the following category shall approach their school to apply for compartment exams:
- a) Candidates of Classes X & XII who have appeared for the examinations in February/March 2020 as regular candidates and whose result has been declared as ‘Compartment’;
- b) Candidates of Class XII who had applied for Improvement of Performance as regular candidates in the subjects for which examination was scheduled from 1st July 2020 to 15th July 2020 and their result has been declared as ‘NC’ in the subject concerned.
- c) Candidates of Class XII who have appeared as regular candidate in 6 subjects in February/March 2020 and declared PASS but could not clear one subject can appear under Improvement of Performance category; and
- d) Candidates of Class XII & X who have been punished under Category 1 of UFM wherein their current examination of the subject has been cancelled and they have been allowed to appear in Compartment examination.
Procedure for submitting list of compartment candidates online for schools
The official notice also states that the schools can follow the steps mentioned below in order to submit the list of CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th compartment candidates online:
- Generate list of candidates placed in Compartment from school login
- Select Roll No. and Subject of candidate who wants to appear in Compartment
- Finalise the selection and note down “Application ID” generated
- Make payment Online
- Enter roll no. of candidates desirous of appearing for the optional examination. Details will be auto-generated.
- Generate the final list for keeping in the record in the school.
CBSE 10th, 12th Compartment Exams 2020: Application Fee Details
CBSE compartment exam application will be considered complete only after the payment of the application fee before the deadline. The details of the application process including compartment form, exam fees are mentioned below:
The also reads, "The fee shall be applicable as per fee schedule i.e. the date on which the data is finalized is taken for account for fee calculation:
- If students’ details are entered on or before 20.8.2020 and finalization of data is done and fee is remitted on 20.8.2020 (or earlier) then NO late fee shall be applicable.
- If students’ details are entered on or before 20.8.2020 and finalization of data is done or fee is remitted after 20.8.2020 then late fee shall be applicable."
Fees for all activities is accepted only through following digital payments modes by CBSE:-
- In India- Debit Card / Credit Card / NEFT/ RTGS
- Foreign- Debit Card / Credit Card / SWIFT
