The Board has shortlisted a total of 1,367 students for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2020.

CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme 2020: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the official list of candidates selected for the Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme 2020. Parents and candidates who were waiting for the scholarship list must note that CBSE has uploaded the list on its official website, i.e. cbse.gov.in. Meanwhile, as stated before, payments have been made through an electronic clearing system (ECS) to their bank accounts, according to an official statement. According to the list, the Board has shortlisted a total of 1,367 students for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2020.

The scholarship is given to girl students who passed CBSE Class 10 board exams in 2020 from the schools affiliated to the Board.

According to the information released by the Board earlier, โ€œsingle girl students, who secured at least 60 per cent marks in their CBSE Class 10 board exams and are studying in Classes 11 and 12 in CBSE affiliated schools are eligible for the scholarship. Another eligibility requirement is that their tuition fee should not be more than Rs 1,500 per month during an academic year.โ€ Only Indian nationals are eligible for the CBSE single girl child scholarship.

Talking about the initiative, CBSE earlier said, โ€œThe scheme is aimed to recognize the efforts of the parents in promoting education among girls and to provide encouragement to meritorious students.โ€

Meanwhile, the Board is all set to conduct CBSE 10th, 12th Board Exams 2021 from May 4 until June 14.  Amid the sudden rise of COVID19 cases in the country, the board has made an important announcement for CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th students who have contracted COVID19. According to an official CBSE circular, if a student has tested COVID positive, then they need not worry about the lab practical exams. Exams for such students will be postponed and will be conducted later either in April or even after written exams are over.
