The Madhya Pradesh government decided to cancel the annual examinations of all the classes except class 10th and 12th.

Due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus, the government of Madhya Pradesh announced that under the strict lockdown all-round the country, it is not feasible to conduct annual examinations for the students. The World Health Organisation already declared the COVID-19 a pandemic. The need to control the virus spread is increasing with every passing day. In order to control the contiguous coronavirus spread, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared a strict nationwide lockdown for the next 21 days. People are advised to stay inside their homes and follow social-distancing. Concerned regarding the safety and health of the students, the Madhya Pradesh government decided to cancel the annual examinations of all the classes except class 10th and 12th.

According to a reputed source, the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan declared that students of all classes except 10th and 12th will be promoted to higher standards without any examinations. The MP CM confirmed the promotion of the students stating that he has ordered the School Education Department to promote all students except the students of class 10 and 12. The students of all classes except classes 10 and 12 will be promoted to the next class without any annual examination or improvement examination. However, the Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh, (MPBSE) has not taken any decision regarding the class 10 and 12 examinations. Due to the lockdown, the Board has postponed the examinations until further notice.

The whole country is under a 21-day lockdown. World researchers are not able to find the cure of the pandemic yet and this why the world leaders decided to put the severely infected regions under a lockdown. So far, the total number of positive coronavirus cases are nearly 1045. By now, the disease claimed several deaths and controlling its spread is the need of the time for all. People are advised to take all the preventive measures to stop the coronavirus spread.
