Goa Board Exams 2020: Dates for SSC, HSSC examinations declared

The Goa state government decided to conduct the Goa SSC and Goa HSSC examination amid coronavirus-free environment. According to the reports, as there are no more positive novel coronavirus cases in the state, the Goa government gave permission to the education board of the state to conduct pending exams of class 12 students and for all subjects of class 10 students.

While addressing the media, The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education said on Wednesday that these exams, stalled due to the COVID-19 outbreak, will be held from May 20 onwards. Revealing the Goa SSC Time Table 2020 and Goa HSSC Time Table 2020 Board chairman Ramakrishna Samant stated that Goa HSSC (Class 12) examinations for the two pending papers will be held from May 20 to May 22, while the Goa SSC (Class 10) exams for all papers will be held from May 21 onwards.

The minister further added that a detailed time table for both the classes will be released soon. The board announced the dates after getting a go-ahead from the state government.

Earlier this week, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that the HSSC and SSC examinations would be held after the third phase of the COVID-19 is over. He further added that the board cannot hold the examinations now due to the latest guidelines released by the Ministry of Home Affairs guidelines. The coastal state, which has no active coronavirus case currently, falls under the green zone. The state conducts annual examinations usually in the month of March-April.
