The Kerala Education Board decided to conduct the Kerala Board 10th and 12th examination 2020 a week after the lockdown ends. According to the reports, the school’s QIP Monitoring Committee chaired by the Public Education Secretary A Shahjahan will be conducting the Kerala Board 10th and 12th exams.
The Kerala Board 10th and Kerala Board 12th examinations are reported to be conducted only with the approval of the central and state government. The decision to conduct the pending exams was take in a meeting conducted via video conferencing among the director of Public Education, K Jeevan Babu along with VK Ajit Kumar, N Sreekumar, Abdula Wavoor, KC Harikrishnan, MK Biju, TV Anoop Kuma, Alex Sam and Rajeev.
The state board examinations in Kerala were commenced on March 10 and were scheduled to be concluded on March 26. However, the examinations got postponed due to the nationwide lockdown imposed by the central government in order to contain the coronavirus spread. So far, three exams for Kerala SSLC i.e Kerala 10th and six exams for Kerala 12th are pending.
Various reports suggest that more than 12 lakh students will be appearing for the remaining Kerala Board exams 2020. The examination centres will be decided by the board considering the hotspots in the state and the lockdown situation in the Gulf countries. Once the lockdown will be lifted, the other pending exams such as Kerala DElED exam 2020 will also be conducted along with Kerala Board 10th, 12th exams. The Board also assured that revised Kerala SSLC Date Sheet 2020 and Kerala 12th Date Sheet 2020 will be released with prior notice.
