Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has announced that Kerala Pareeksha Bhawan is making preparations for conducting class 10 and 12 examinations and will be held this month. 

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has announced that Kerala Pareeksha Bhawan is making preparations for conducting class 10 and 12 examinations and it will be held from May 21 to May 29. He also added that evaluation of exam papers will begin from May 13, 2020.

Kerala education department is also expected to conduct the Class 11 Board exams for the students during the same period.

As per the announcement, the Kerala Board officials are planning to hold the pending Kerala SSLC and Kerala 12th Board examination once the lockdown is lifted. The report also claimed that the Kerala Board exams will resume from May 21 and will continue until May 29, 2020.

Earlier, the State Education Department had announced that it will not be conduct class 8 and 9 end-term examinations and will promote the students to the next grade.

Kerala Chief Minister also confirmed that schools in the state will reopen from June 1 after the summer vacations are over. He also said that due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis in the country, the re-opening of schools has been delayed and the state government is planning to conduct special educational programmes for students will be conducted from June 1 through victors channel. 

He has also directed DTH channel providers to ensure that the Victors Channel is available to all the students in the state.

Due to coronavirus outbreak schools and colleges around the country were shut in Mid-March as a preventive step to avoid further spread of the deadly virus.
