An official from the Kerala Chief Minister's office confirmed that Kerala SSLC and plus two exams are now postponed until further notice due to the extended lockdown in the views of the novel coronavirus. 

Kerala government finally decided that the Kerala SSLC and plus two exams will be postponed until further notice in the view of the novel coronavirus spread in the country followed extended lockdown until May 31. While the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on May 18 (evening) confirmed that the Kerala SSLC and plus two exams will be held according to the schedule. The state cabinet now decided to postpone the exams again. The revised dates for the exam will be decided after the Centre's guidelines in the first week of June, a source from Kerala Chief Minister's office said.

Earlier, the state CM said special buses will be plied to carry students to schools and social distancing will be followed in schools. Initially, we thought of postponing them but higher education will be affected due to this. So we decided to stick to the earlier schedule, Mr Vijayan added.

According to the Kerala SSLC Date Sheet 2020 and Kerala 12th Date Sheet 2020 which was released before the beginning of COVID-19 lockdown 4.0, the state was supposed to conduct Kerala class 10, 12 remaining board exams from May 21 to May 30.

On May 18 (morning), the state government announced that with the extension of the nationwide coronavirus lockdown until May 31, the Kerala SSLC and plus 2  remaining board exams will be postponed again. Later, the reports got refuted by the CM's statement.

Meanwhile, Kerala government decided to give class 10, 12 students an opportunity to shift their exam centre according to their convenience. The state government opened a facility for students who want to change their SSLC and Higher Secondary (Plus Two) examination centres in view of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus followed by the nationwide lockdown imposed in order to control the virus spread. This option is available for students who are staying under various facilities of Department of Social Welfare like Model Residential School Hostel, Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Hostel, Sports Hostel and Shelter Homes and also for the students from Lakshadeep, and gulf countries.
