The fee that is being refunded by Maharashtra Board was collected from students of Classes 10 and 12 for board exams in February-March 2021 which were cancelled in view of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Maharashtra Board Exams 2022: Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) commenced the process of partially refunding the fee on Friday, i.e. November 12. The fee that is being refunded by Maharashtra Board was collected from students of Classes 10 and 12 for board exams in February-March 2021 which were cancelled in view of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

An official from the Maharashtra Board told Indian Express, the exam fee collected from lakhs of Mah SSC and Mah HSC students will be returned partially for which the pupils need to get themselves registered on the board’s portal, where they will be provided with a link. The board exams for MSBSHSE 10th and 12th are usually conducted in February-March. However, Mah Board Exams 2021 were canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The official further added that the demand for the return of exam fee was being made for some time and the board has now started the process to refund the money to students. Amid the cancellation of board exams, the Maharashtra HSC Result 2021 was released on August 3 at 2 pm on the basis of alternate evaluation criteria released by the board. According to the evaluation criteria released by Varsha Gaikwad, "The overall assessment was the measure of a students' performance in theory papers & orals/practical/internal assessments. Marks for the latter were the actual basis as per the board's prevailing policy. For the theory portion, scores in one or more (unit test/first-semester exams/practice exams) theory papers of Class 12 carried 40 per cent weightage whereas marks in the final exam of Class 11 & the average of the best 3 performing theory papers of Class 10 had 30 per cent weightage each."   The Board released Mah SSC Results 2021 on July 16.
