This year, the announcement of Maharashtra Board results have been delayed. Once announced, students can check their Maharashtra HSC Results 2020 on the Board's official website i.e. mahresult.nic.in.
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has been facing a big task of completing the assessments of Maharashtra SSC and Maharashtra HSC answer-sheet, amid the ongoing lockdown.

Earlier, Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad said that the evaluation process of the Maharashtra Class 10 and Maharashtra Class 12 board exams is in the final state. She had also confirmed that the Board will announce the Maharashtra HSC Results 2020 by mid-July and Maharashtra SSC Results by July-end.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country, this year many board results including Maharashtra HSC Results 2020 and Maharashtra SSC Results 2020 have been delayed. This has also lead to delay in admissions of First Year Junior College (FYJC) and first year of degree colleges will begin subsequently.
This is the first time that the Board will be announcing the 10th board results and 12th board results in July.
"For the Mumbai division, which has the highest number of students across all divisions, over 85 per cent of assessment and moderation work for Maharashtra HSC, SSC board exam answer sheets have been completed," said Mumbai divisional secretary Sandeep Sangave.
Across the nine divisional centres of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Examination (MSBSHSE) — Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Amravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan — 17,65,898 students registered to appear for SSC exams at a total of 4,979 examination centres. Of this, 3,91,191 lakh SSC students belonged to Mumbai division which comprises six areas — Raigad, Palghar, Thane rural, Thane City, Mumbai City and Mumbai Suburban. Whereas, 15,05,027 students registered for HSC examinations this year across 3,036 examination centres. Of this, 3,39,014 students belong to the Mumbai division.

Once the Maharashtra HSC Result 2020 and Maharashtra SSC Result 2020 is announced, those who have appeared for the Maharashtra HSC Board Exams 2020 and Maharashtra SSC Board Exams 2020 can check their results by following these simple steps:
- Visit the official website of the Maharashtra board i.e. mahresult.nic.in
- Click on the link that reads, ‘Maharashtra HSC result 2020/ Maharashtra SSC Result 2020’
- A new window will open up on the screen
- Enter roll number and mother’s name in the appropriate fields
- Verify the details and click on ‘Submit’
- Maharashtra Board HSC result 2020/ Maharashtra SSC Result 2020 for the entered credentials will open
- Take a printout or screenshot of the same and keep it safe for further references
How to check Maharashtra HSC Result 2020/ Maharashtra SSC Result 2020 via SMS
Those students who are not able to check the Maharashtra HSC, SSC Result 2020 online can check through SMS. In order to check Maharashtra HSC result/Maharashtra SSC Result 2020 through SMS, follow the steps given below:
- SMS 'MHHSCSEAT NO./ MHSSCSEAT NO.'
- Send it to 57766.
- HSC result of Maharashtra board is sent on the same number as SMS.
