The Mizoram 12th exam which was scheduled to be held from June 16 has been again postponed. Read below to get more details.
The Mizoram government has one more time postponed the Class 12 Board examinations which were suspended earlier due to coronavirus outbreak in the country and has now decided to hold the same from July 1, an official said.
As per the revised schedule, the examinations of the Mizoram HSSLC Class 12 for remaining subjects in arts, science, and commerce streams were scheduled to be conducted from June 16. However, it has now been postponed.
"The remaining class 12 examinations will now be held between July 1 and 3. The examinations have been deferred as the state government has imposed a complete lockdown till June 22," the official said.
More than 4,500 students could not complete their board examination in Economics, Chemistry, Sociology, Computer Science and Home Science subjects, he said.
Earlier, the MBSE had planned to conduct the board examination from April 22, however, it was later postponed after students protest over the various inconveniences faced by them amid the nationwide lockdown.
The Board had earlier announced that the compartmental exams for MBSE Class 10 students will be conducted on June 16 at 11 centers across the state. However, now it will also be conducted on July 1.
On May 13, MBSE 10th Result 2020 was announced.
In order to avoid any academic loss of the students, the state government had started taking virtual classes for students on Doordarshan Kendra Aizawl. The classes were started from April 13 between 3 pm to 5 pm for class 10 students studying in science and commerce stream.
