Rajasthan Education Minister, Govind Singh Dotasra, has announced that the schools in the state will re-open from July 1, however, teachers will report to duty on June 26 or June 27.

Rajasthan Education Minister, Govind Singh Dotasra, has announced that the schools in the state will re-open from July 1, however, teachers will report to duty on June 26 or June 27.

The announcement was made after the minister held a meeting with over 50 teacher organizations yesterday through video-conferencing.

The minister also said that there might be changes in the academic calendar as per the prevailing situation.

The new admission in English medium schools will commence soon and the entire process will be carried out online. Acting on the suggestion given by one of the teacher organizations about starting the admission process early this year, he said, English medium school will online admission process. A similar process for Hindi medium schools will also being considered.

Considering this is a Ramzan month, the minister said that those teachers who are observing the fast and pregnant teachers shall not be assigned any corona duty. In case there is a requirement arises, female teachers shall be placed on coronavirus duty.

The minister is also planning to hold a meeting with representatives from private un-aided schools and parents.

About the pending RBSE 10th Board and RBSE 12th Board, he said that a decision will be made after discussion with the Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

The Rajasthan Board is likely to declare RBSE 10th result in the first week of June 2020 while the RBSE 12th result 2020 by mid-May for the Science and Commerce streams while for RBSE 12th Arts, the date is tentatively end of May. However, students can expect a delay in the result as some of the examinations have not been conducted due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
