The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education Examination to rope in more number of lecturers and evaluation centres in the state post the lockdown period, to complete the evaluation process and declare the results at the earliest.
The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education Examination (TSBIE) is planning to rope in more number of lecturers and evaluation centres across the state, to speed up the evaluation work for the Intermediate public examinations post-lockdown.
Earlier, the Board had planned to finish the evaluation work on or before April 15. The process for evaluating minor papers at 12 centres in the state with more than 800 evaluators had already started. However, it was delayed due to ongoing 21-days coronavirus lockdown, the TSBIE said in a statement.
In order to speed up the evaluation process and to declare the results at the earliest, the Board is planning to increase the number of evaluators and also the evaluation centres across the state once the lockdown period is over, a senior official from the Board said.
This year, a total of 9,65,875 including 4,80,531 first year and 4,85,344 second-year students had registered for the Intermediate public exams which were scheduled to be held from March 4 to 23. The Board conducted all major examinations at 1,339 centres with 26,964 invigilators. One Modern Language Paper-II and Geography Paper-II was postponed due to the lockdown.
The Board this year has taken several initiatives to ensure there is no technical glitch during the evaluation and processing of the result. It has created several gateways to cross-check the marks that are allotted on each answer sheet.
The data processing of results will be done by the Centre for Good Governance (CGG).
