The Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for secondary education Dinesh Sharma has said the UP Board Class 10, 12 examinations 2021 is likely to be conducted in April and May. He further said that things will depend on the dates of upcoming Panchyat elections in the state. "A meeting with the senior officials is scheduled in the next fortnight where we will take some decisions regarding board exams dates," he added.

The UP Board Time Table 2021 will be released soon on the official website of the State Board.

He also mentioned about the reduction of UP Board Syllabus 2021 for classes 10 and 12. The UP Board Class 10 Syllabus as well as UP Board 12th Syllabus 2021 has been reduced by 30% in absence of regular classroom teaching due to Covid-19 as only online classes are going on.

β€œThe remaining 70% syllabus was divided into three parts. The first part was that of online classroom teaching and lessons taught via Doordarshan. The second was based on the self-study by students themselves, and third was project work being assigned to students by teachers from time to time,” the minister said.

Moreover, this year, there could be just one invigilator instead of usual two, to monitor the conduct of the exam in the 2021 UP Board examination.

This will happen if there is a shortage of teachers for invigilation duties because of the need to increase the number of UP Board examination halls by seating fewer examinees amid the COVID-19 crisis, said state education department officials.

Officials share that for 2021 UP Board exams, each centre will have a minimum allocation of 150 students and a maximum of 800 students. In previous years, there were up to 1200 students in one exam centre. Likewise, each student would be given 36 square feet of space instead of 20 square feet amid social distancing norms.

According to the UP Board standards, a room is 500 square feet would have seating arrangement for a maximum of 14 or 15 children. In this way, there would be enough space between two students while following the concept of social distancing.
