The evaluation work for Uttar Pradesh class 10 and 12 answer sheets will start only after the lockdown is over, confirms the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad.
The Uttar Pradesh Board has announced that the evaluation process for class 10 and 12 answer sheets will resume only after the nationwide coronavirus lockdown ends.
On April 17, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma had asked the education department and the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad to start the evaluation process for UP Board Exam 2020 from April 25, 2020. It was done with an aim to announce UP class 12 Board and UP class 10 Board results on time.
However, with the extension in the lockdown period, the evaluation process will start after May 3. However, that order has now been withdrawn looking at the steady rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in the state. With this, it is expected that the UP Board 10th results 2020 and UP Board 12th results 2020 result will also be delayed.
This year around 3 Crore answer sheets are to be evaluated at more than 275 evaluation centres spread across the state. Only after completing the task, Board will be able to declare UP Board results.
Earlier, the UP Board had asked students not to believe in any fake news and requested them to follow its official website to check the authenticity of the reports. The move came after a fake circular about the board’s decision to promote all the UP Board 10th and UP Board 12th students without the declaration of results went viral on different social media platforms.
Clarifying the rumors, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) declared that the news is fake and no such decision is taken by the state board.
