The Uttar Pradesh Board result 2020 is likely to get delayed as the teachers in the state have refused to resume the evaluation work of class 10th and 12th Board answer sheets. The teachers are all set to approach high court against government order.

The Uttar Pradesh class 10th and 12th Board results are likely to be delayed as the teachers have refused to resume the evaluation work of the answer sheets from May 5. The teachers are planning to approach the High Court against state government order.

Earlier, the state government had asked teachers to start the evaluation work for UP Board 10th and UP Board 12th mark sheets from May 5. This was done with an aim to announce the UP Board 10th Result 2020 and UP Board 12th Result 2020 by end of May.

However, as per the state general secretary of Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh (UPMSS) Thakurai faction Lal Mani Diwedi, Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad teachers have refused to resume evaluation of answer sheets at evaluation centers.

"To contain the coronavirus, on the one hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended the lockdown, on the other, the state government has asked teachers to resume the evaluation work. This will involve the movement of around 1.47 lakh teachers at 275 evaluation centers in the state. With the rising number of coronavirus cases in the state, it is a risk-prone exercise, and with this, the government is putting the lives of several teachers in danger," Diwedi said.

He has also written a letter to the Uttar Pradesh deputy Cheif Minister Dinesh Sharma requesting to postponed the evaluation process until May 15. He also asked him to allow teachers to check the answer sheets from home.

"Some teachers have also requested the state government to shift the evaluation work from red zone districts to green zone districts. Though the government has not taken any decision in it yet," he said.

On March 16, evaluation work for about 4 crore answer sheets was started by 1.47 lakh teachers at 275 evaluation centers. However, with the coronavirus outbreak in the country, the evaluation process was suspended. The UP Board was supposed to declare the results on April 24, 2020.
