The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education Secretary Paromita Roy today said that the Board has not decided on the date to announce class 10 results and requested to not believe fake news about the same that is making rounds in media.
Putting rest to all the speculation doing rounds on media about Class 10 results, the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) Secretary Paromita Roy today clarified that the date has not yet been decided by the board and all information appearing regarding the same is fake.
The comments came amidst widespread speculations about the release of the West Bengal Madhyamik Result 2020 with many stating that it will be announced in August. Earlier also, the WBSE had made a similar clarification.
"The board is yet to decide on the date, it has not yet been finalized. I won't comment on whether it is coming in August. The date has not yet been finalized by the board. Whatever is appearing now is fake news," Roy said.
According to the WBBSE Date Sheet 2020, the Board concluded the West Bengal Madhyamik examinations before the coronavirus lockdown had begun. Around 10.16 lakh candidates had appeared for the Madhyamik examinations this year, which began in the month of February 18 and concluded on February 27.
With this announcement, it is clear that students who had appeared for the West Bengal class 10 board examination will have to wait a little longer for the results to be declared.
"The results will be announced after the entire evaluation process is over and the government issues advisory about the normalisation of the situation," WBSE official had said earlier.
Once the results are announced, students can check on the official results' portal of the Board i.e wbresults.nic.in.
