Alliance School of Film and Media Studies Scholarship Details ,Anekal, Bangalore

Alliance School of Film and Media Studies provides a total of four types of scholarships to eligible students. These scholarships include Merit-based Scholarships, Category-based Scholarships, Alumni Scholarships, and Employee Scholarships. The scholarship is worth INR 6 Crores for meritorious students. Category-based scholarships are offered by the Registrar’s office on a first-come, first-served basis. Check out the details regarding these scholarships below:

Merit-based scholarships

A merit scholarship is offered to recognise and support outstanding students. This scholarship is offered to students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance, talent, or other achievements.

Category based scholarships

  • Differently Abled: 

This scholarship is applicable as per the provisions of the RPwD Act, 2016 to all the categories of disabilities identified. Those students who have 40% permanent disability of the mentioned categories and with a Unique Disability ID from the Government of India will be considered for the scholarship. 

  • Defence and Paramilitary Quota: 

This scholarship is offered to serving personnel; ex-servicemen; retired personnel and deceased personnel or their dependents from the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, Coast Guard, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Railway Protection Force (RPF), National Security Guards (NSG), Special Frontier Force (SFF), Assam Riffles, Border Road Organization / General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF), Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Military Engineers Service (MES) and Defense Security Corps (DSC). 

  • Sports International Level: 

Sports International Level scholarship is offered to a player who has represented India in any International Sports Competitions approved by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports/ SAI/ IOA/ FISU/ National Federation of Concerned Games approved by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports/ Association of Indian Universities/ School Games Federation of India. It is compulsory for the student to have a certificate from the concerned authorities of the sport. Moreover, the student should have participated and won in the International level sports/ games conducted by the competent authority. 

  • Sports National Level: 

Sports National Level scholarship is offered to a student who has represented the state in any competition conducted between the last two consecutive calendar years at the national level in Individual/ Teams approved by the Ministry of Sports/ Sports Federation/ AIU. It is compulsory for the students to have a certificate from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports/ National Federation/ Board of concerned games only. Furthermore, the student should have participated and won in the National level sports/ games conducted by the competent authority. 

  • Domicile: 

The student should have studied and passed in one or more Government / Government recognized educational institutions located in the State of Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN academic years commencing from 1st standard to 2nd PUC / 12th standard as on 1st July of the year in which the candidate is seeking admissions to and must have appeared and passed either SSLC / 10th standard or 2nd PUC / 12th standard examination from Karnataka State. If the candidate has taken more than one year to pass a class or standard, the year of academic study is counted as one year only. 

Alumni scholarships

This scholarship is offered to the Alliance alumni, their spouses, children, and siblings specifically for tuition fees only, allowing them to focus on achieving their academic and professional goals. 

Employee scholarships 

This scholarship is offered to employees in the doctoral as well as executive programmes offered at Alliance University. Moreover, the scholarship also extends to the children of Alliance employees who are in service and provides financial assistance specifically for tuition fees, making higher education more accessible and affordable for our employees’ families.
