Alliance University to Host Asia Pacific Literary Festival Between Nov 28 & 30, 2022

November 10, 2022: The Asia Pacific Literary Festival 2022 is proudly presented by Alliance University's School of Liberal Arts in collaboration with Asia Pacific Writers & Translators Inc. (APWT). This festival, conference, and showcase will feature an exciting lineup of featured authors and publishing industry professionals from around the world, as well as eminent event partners and enticing side events. On November 28, 29, and 30, 2022, the literary festival will take place on the warm Alliance campus.

The idea of an Indian university as a centre for art and culture is one that Alliance University is constantly reimagining. The festival contributes to Alliance's goal of creating the Cosmopolis, a public space teeming with discussions and ideas to make Bangalore genuinely international.

"Writing outside the frame" is the festival's theme. Alliance University would bring together an exciting convergence of literary styles, forms, and media that defy convention in order to highlight voices that are outside the typical frame of the literati.

Asia Pacific literature, publishing, and translation are the focus of APWT, the largest and most established international literary networking organisation. Prior to COVID, APWT held a significant event in a different city every year in the area. The literary landscape offers something special thanks to APWT.

Asia Pacific Writers and Translators, now in its 17th year, is the largest and longest-running literary network in the area. A three-day interactive event called #APWT2022 with over 100 lecturers and performers would be held to link Asia Pacific Writers from across the world. Devdutt Patnaik, a renowned mythologist; Geetanjali Shree, the 2022 International Booker Prize winner; Danish Sait, an award-winning stand-up and host; Victor Mallet, a foreign journalist for the Financial Times; Sally Breen, the winner of the Varuna Harper Collins Manuscript Prize; and many others will speak and perform at the Asia Pacific Literary Festival in 2022.
