The best college ever where it would take 2 days to figure out the whole place.
Placements: At least 70% were placed in my course. I know that among the top recruiting companies, there will be Amazon, Infosys, and Cognizant. So far, I have only seen a few internships. Director, writer, cameraman, etc., are the main top roles I have heard of from our seniors and pass-outs.
Infrastructure: Facilities available to us are a visual media lab, library, theater, etc. The classrooms are always cleaned to the brim, and some have a very good odor. The quality rating would be given at least 9/10. We can even use the college gym at a reasonable price.
Faculty: The teachers are very friendly and helpful. Their quality simply cannot be measured. Yes, this course is relevant as the new age will be completely dependent on AI. It makes sure the students are ready for anything. The semester exams for first-years will be easy if you are focused in class and if you study.
Other: I have mainly chosen this course as I just love to take photos. It always makes me satisfied when I have captured a beautiful moment. The best thing is that you won't be alone in this course. It can get a lot better if there are more facilities available. Sometimes, there will be events where it will be like a field trip. It could be in a forest (sanctuary) to take pictures of wild animals.

Absolutely Dissatisfied with My Experience There
Placements: Only two or three students were placed after the placement process. It's up to the students if they want to apply for a particular job offered by the placement cell at the college. The placement options provided by the college are pretty good as they offer a wide range of jobs from various companies.
Infrastructure: Facilities like toilets need improvement since they are not very hygienic. The classrooms are quite small and dark. The software used for teaching needs to be updated, as all the software is of very old versions like Adobe Photoshop CS6. They have updated Visual Studio and the theater for screenings, which is good, but the issue is that students can’t utilize it due to a lack of good teachers and skipped classes.
Faculty: Faculty members are not very good, as they show partiality towards certain students and take revenge on others by cutting marks and treating them badly. Another issue is that most faculty members in the visual media department often skip classes. Exams are difficult because the teaching is poor, and students usually learn things on their own using AI tools and YouTube videos.
Other: I chose this course because it was not available in any other college, and I really hope they improve many things like updating the software used for teaching, building new toilets, and teaching without skipping classes and avoiding last-minute hurry. Unfortunately, only students host events from each batch; there are no college-hosted events.

Good place to pursue your passion on Visual Media.
Placements: A good number of students are placed in companies like Google, Amazon, TCS, and Cognizant. The company recruiters are well-established and offer amazing salary packages to Amrita students. Some of the roles offered in the visual media stream include cinematography, videography, photography, and journalism.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and lab facilities are top-class. The Wi-Fi connection is stable, and the classrooms and college areas are well-protected with CCTV cameras and sound recording. The college doesn't have sports facilities on campus but takes students to competitions. The mess and canteen food are worth the prices.
Faculty: The curriculum is easy, and the syllabus is enjoyable. Exams are relaxed, with no pressure on students. The marking is relatively lenient. The semester exams are also very relaxed. The faculty are well-educated about their streams and are established in the fields of teaching and visual media.

Other: Even though the courses offered are good, the ambience and faculty are below average and also demotivates and brings down your morale. The only good thing you learn is patience and perseverance as you have to survive the college for next three years. Since it's a deemed university the chances of you screwing up your grades because you do not get along well with certain faculty. Even the good ones leave the place due to the negative environment. Academically visual media course could not be well envisioned due to stringent rules and regulations.

Review of Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham - Kochi Campus.
Placements: This college is way too amazing. If academics and placements are your priority, I would recommend joining this college. But there is a problem, if you are not competent enough, you will feel too much pressure and depression. The workload is huge more than 90% of the syllabus is way too hard and you need to gear up yourself.
Infrastructure: The lab machines don't work. Even for research purposes, we used to go to other colleges as our laboratories are very poor. The college won't give any support for any project or research work or any event you participate in. It is none of their concern. For competitions where we represent the college, it is us who spend in lacs and you cant expect more than few thousand from college. The campus is very good and attractive, but it is very strict. You have to take permission to go outside the campus. Non-vegetarian food is also not allowed. Hostel food is average.
Faculty: Our college has good teachers. They are well planed before teaching students. They provide extra curriculum activities also. Teachers support students for everything. They provide tuition also. They take lessons very clearly.
Other: The mentality of teachers is very bad, especially in the electronics department. If you wish to join in electronics stream, go for Bangalore or Kollam campus.
