Review of Amrita School of Arts, Humanities and Commerce Kochi.
Placements: College provides the best placements for students from different companies. Faculty members try their best to train students to get placed in big companies. Curriculum contains a specific subject to train students for placements and job interviews.
Infrastructure: College facilities and infrastructure are well maintained. They are well managed by the authorities. College provides separate Wi-Fi for students and faculty members. College provides labs for each course. Students opting for B.Des in Communication Design have their own design labs.
Faculty: As design student, I am pleased with how the faculty members try their best to help students understand concepts. Curriculum is updated. Semester exams are not very tough, but that doesn't mean they are easy. Students should work hard to get good marks in each semester for placements.
Other: Courses offered here are less expensive compared to other colleges. Being a deemed university, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi conducts events in a well-organised manner. Overall events are organised by the students themselves. I wish the college had provided more events like auto shows.

Good college to be honest but less enjoyment.
Placements: Amrita College, Kochi, has an excellent placement record, particularly for technology-oriented courses like BCA (Hons.). The placement cell actively engages with top recruiters from the IT and tech industry, such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, and more. Students are provided with pre-placement training, mock interviews, and technical skill workshops, which boost their chances of getting placed. The average package ranges between 3-6 LPA, while top students have secured higher offers depending on their skills and internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the BCA program is well-suited for a hands-on learning experience.
Labs: The college provides state-of-the-art computer labs with updated software and a fast internet connection. Students have access to the required tools, programming software, and other resources needed for coding and project development.
Classrooms: Spacious, well-ventilated, and equipped with smart boards and audio-visual aids.
Library: A comprehensive library with books, journals, and digital resources for students to explore beyond the curriculum.
Hostel: Hostels are clean and well-maintained, offering both AC and non-AC rooms. Basic facilities like Wi-Fi, 24/7 security, mess with hygienic food, and laundry services are available. Hostel life is strictly disciplined, making it comfortable yet focused for students.
Faculty: The faculty for the BCA (Hons.) program is highly experienced and supportive. Professors are well-qualified, with most holding PhDs and industry experience. The teaching style focuses on both theoretical concepts and practical applications, ensuring students have a strong foundation in the IT field. Guest lectures and workshops by industry experts are also organized regularly, bridging the gap between academics and real-world requirements. Faculty members are approachable and guide students for projects, research work, and placements.

Good placements in 2024. Good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Around 15 students are placed in our course. The highest salary offered is Rs. 50,000.The lowest salary offered is Rs. 30,000 and the lowest salary offered is 20,000. Companies include E-Way and Deloitte. About 60% of students got placed in E-Way. Top roles include auditor, finance manager, and teacher (related to B.Com finance and tax).
Infrastructure: Labs are good and have facilities to study programs and many subjects. Library is available to refer to books related to subjects. Classrooms are fine and have fans. Medical facilities are good. In case of emergency, we can get bandages and tables.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, especially when we ask doubts. Teaching quality is good and we can understand properly. It makes students industry-ready with various ideas. Semester exams are difficult as sometimes the question paper is tough. Pass percentage is based on mid-term marks and internal assessments.
Other: This course offers job opportunities and is a very interesting subject. To improve sports-related activities in college, programs should be introduced to make it more encouraging.

Review of Amrita School of Arts, Humanities and Commerce, Kochi.
Placements: Around 80% of students got placed from our college to top-ranking companies. Infosys, Hitachi, Wipro, etc. are the top companies that recruit students. Roles offered are web developer, game developer, software engineer, etc. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA. Around 40% of students secured internship courses mainly from Infosys.
Infrastructure: All sorts of facilities are available for students but classrooms are not well-maintained. Labs are good and have the best systems available. There is no hostel for boys so boys have to stay as paying guests. The quality of food that is served in college is poor.
Faculty: I rate the teaching quality 9 out of 10 because our college provides the best teaching to students. All teachers are highly qualified. Course curriculum is relevant. There are 2 exams. Mid-term is out of 50 and end-semester is out of 100. Exams are quite difficult.
Other: I chose this course because of the certificate value and placement opportunities offered to students. It would be better if they keep more events and start sports activities in the college. There are not many college activities and events. The campus surroundings are good and give a positive vibe.

Good placements and a college with a good environment.
Placements: The percentage of students getting into the placements, from what the faculty say, is 100%. The highest package someone has got as a fresher is 17 Lacs per annum. The lowest is 5 Lacs. The top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Google, Intel, Nokia, etc. The paid internships in these companies often lead to placements in one of them. Most of the students get into the internship program. The top roles offered in the course are software developer, web developer, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure here are great. The computer labs are nice and well-maintained, equipped with good computers, and are also air-conditioned. They also provide Wi-Fi for lab use. Every classroom has TVs or projectors installed. The classrooms are spacious and tidy. The library here has a great variety of books that you can take. The canteen is good, but it is vegetarian. There aren't many sports activities here, but there is occasional selection for badminton and basketball. That's all there is for sports.
Faculty: The teachers here are very kind and helpful. They are also very qualified. The teachers help us with any trouble. The teaching quality is good. There are subjects like life skills in this course, which help us to improve our communication and also teach us how to attend an interview. It makes us ready for the industry. They also teach us the course at an application level, which should help us greatly when we join a job. There are two exams conducted in a semester: mid-term and final. I wouldn't say the exams are too difficult; if you took computer science in the 12th boards, you should be good. I would say the pass percentage is above 95%.
Other: The reason I chose this course is because of its job opportunities. I heard that it has good scope in the future, and also I want to pursue my career in the IT sector, so I think this course should be good. There are some additional subjects in the course here in Amrita, like aptitude, culture, and Indian heritage, and I think they are unnecessary. There are not many events or fests conducted here, only departmental events like exhibitions and hackathons. The campus surroundings are nice with many trees. It has a calm environment. There are scholarships for students who achieve 90% and above in their 12th boards. But if they fail to achieve 9 SGPA and above in the semester exams, the scholarship is discontinued and cannot be renewed.

Good placements, average infrastructure, and facilities.
Placements: The information provided by the college is that more than 96% of students were placed. The highest package was recently 20 LPA. The average is 8 LPA, and the lowest is 4 to 5 LPA. Top recruiters are Wipro, VMware, Infosys, Google, and Tata Consultancy Services.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not enough, but it is good enough for education. Classrooms are good, but some of the classes have around 50 to 60 students with less space available inside. There is a library that is good. We cannot access the Wi-Fi unless we use the lab for educational purposes. The hostel is only for girls. The boys have to look for a paying guest nearby if they are far away from Kochi. I've heard that the food is sometimes good and sometimes bad (it depends).
Faculty: The teachers are all knowledgeable and helpful. Their teaching quality is good but slow (not all). Some teachers take their class very slow and rush taking lessons when there is only one or two months left for the semester examination. The exams are moderate if you ask me. You have to score at least 30 marks or above in the semester exam out of 100. Not only that, you have to pass all the subjects in midterms, which is out of 50. And they convert the marks out of 30 (for midterms). And add the marks in the semester exams. Even if you score full marks in the midterm. You have to score at least 30 marks on each exam to pass.
Other: I chose this course for placements and its certificate (which is valuable). There are no extracurricular activities like sports. But it would be better if they added sports. There are events and fests, but not quite interesting.
