Established in 1959, Anandaram Dhekial Phookan College (ADP College) is located at Nagaon, Assam. The institute is accredited with NAAC grade 'A' and it caters to the higher education needs of youths coming mostly from rural areas of middle Assam. ADP College has three distinct departments, including Arts, Science and Commerce that collectively offer eight UGC approved courses at UG, PG, diploma and certificate level. 

ADP College Admission Process 2021: Fast Facts

ADP College offers four UG, two PG, one PG diploma and nine certificate courses in various specialisations. The candidates are granted admission to all courses offered at the institute based on merit of previous qualifying degree/ exam. Preference is given to aspirants having merit in extracurricular activities under existing rules along with a five per cent relaxation on total aggregate obtained. The institute offers seat reservations to SC/ ST/ OBC candidates in accordance with Government of India rules.

ADP College BSc admission involves selection of candidates based on aggregate obtained in Class 12. BSc programme is offered in eight specialisations for a three-year duration. Based on special requests of existing students, the institute has recently introduced multiple short-term certificate courses and a PG diploma programme. All these courses fall under the category of UGC-sponsored programmes. Admission to all these additional programmes is granted on merit basis and seat availability. Add-on courses: The institute offers two free of cost three-month add-on courses on Personality Development and Spoken English for all UG students. The courses are not mandatory. However, on successful completion, students are awarded respective certificates. The classes of these add-on courses commence in second week of February under the supervision of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), ADP College and Finishing School, Rusa.

ADP College Application Process 2021

Candidates willing to seek admission to any of the courses offered at the institute need to apply through official admission portal of the institute in online mode. The hard copy of completely filled online application form further needs to be submitted to the admission office of the college within stipulated date. On successful submission, candidates must obtain a receipt from the office as a record of form submission, which needs to be kept in-person till the admission procedure is completed.

The step-by-step process to fill ADP College application form is tabulated below:

1. Visit the official admission portal of ADP College (www.adpcollege.ac.in/online). On its home page, click on ‘Online Portal’
2. Read the admission guidelines which is available in both English and Bengali language. Further, click on Apply Now’ and then on ‘New Enrollment’
3. Register yourself by addressing details, including your mobile number and email ID. Create an alpha-numeric password of your choice
4. Pay an enrollment fee of Rs 1,700 in online mode using debit card/ credit card/ net banking. Once the enrollment fee is successfully paid, candidates again need to click on ‘Apply Now’
5. Log in to your account with your existing credentials, including your password and mobile number. Hit ‘Login’ button to complete the application process
6. Fill the remaining application form by addressing details, including your personal information, guardian details, address of communication, past academic details, etc.
7. Hit ‘Final' Submit’ button once done. Conclude the application process by downloading filled application form
